Increase Metabolism

There are only two ways you can take to lose weight. Either you increase energy expenditure, or you reduce energy intake. Because of the hypothyroidism, even after treatment you may reduce energy expenditure. People naturally are looking for options that can help them increase metabolism safely.

In this article, we cover out how the green tea extra can increase the metabolism and help in with the Weight Loss. Keep reading.

American Journal of Clinical Nutrition reported in a study that green tea extract resulted in a significant increase in energy expenditure (a measure of metabolism) and had a significant effect on fat oxidation. Even though the effects were originally theorized to be due to the caffeine content of green tea, the study reported that the tea actually has properties that go beyond those that would be explained by the caffeine.

As the same amount of caffeine that was in the green tea, administered alone, failed to change energy expenditure in other studies led researchers to believe that there is some interaction going on with the active ingredients of green tea that promotes increased metabolism and fat oxidation. The researchers believed that what they have found has substantial implications for weight control.

The green tea extra was attributed a 4% overall increase in 24 hours energy expenditure. Nevertheless, as the research indicated that the extra expenditure took place during the daytime, this led researchers to conclude that, since thermogenesis contributes 8-10% of daily energy expenditure in a typical cubject, that this 4% overall increase in energy expenditure due to the green tea actually translated to a 35-43% increase in daytime thermogenesis.

We know now that Green tea has a lot of benefices for the health in general. We have more articles related to green tea benefits that we think you should read. Here are some:
